This skill wraps two terminal-based Spotify clients and exposes their capabilities to your agent:spogo (preferred) — authenticates via browser cookie import (spogo auth import --browser chrome) and provides clean commands for search, playback, device management, and status.spotify_player (fallback) — an alternative TUI-based client used when spogo is unavailable, supporting search, playback control, device connection, and track liking.The skill automatically uses spogo if installed, falling back to spotify_player when needed. Configuration lives in ~/.config/spotify-player/app.toml, where you can set a custom client_id for Spotify Connect.

Spotify Premium Account — Required. Spotify Premium is necessary for playback control via the Spotify API and CLI tools.Terminal Spotify Client — Required. At least one of spogo or spotify_player must be installed. spogo is strongly preferred. Both can be installed via Homebrew.Browser Cookie Authentication (spogo) — Required when using spogo. Run spogo auth import --browser chrome to authenticate using your browser session.
