Himalaya is a CLI email client that lets you manage your full email workflow from the terminal. It connects to your email accounts via IMAP/SMTP (or Notmuch/Sendmail backends) and supports listing, reading, composing, replying, forwarding, searching, and organizing emails across multiple accounts.

Comment ça fonctionne

Himalaya connects to your email server using credentials stored in a TOML configuration file at ~/.config/himalaya/config.toml. You can set up accounts interactively via himalaya account configure or manually edit the config. Once configured, all email operations are performed through simple CLI commands. Passwords are stored securely using system keyrings or password managers like pass.
