The Maps skill brings powerful location intelligence to your AI assistant using entirely free, open data sources — OpenStreetMap, Overpass, and OSRM. It lets you look up addresses, find nearby points of interest across 46 categories, calculate travel distances and times, and get step-by-step directions, all without requiring any API key or paid subscription.

Comment ça fonctionne

Under the hood, the skill routes location queries to public OpenStreetMap-based endpoints. Geocoding and reverse-geocoding are handled via the Nominatim service, point-of-interest searches use the Overpass API, and routing (driving, walking, cycling) is powered by OSRM. All services are free and open; for high-volume use, self-hosted instances are supported.
